Kinetik Performance Co was founded in 2016 by manual therapist Jonathan Pierce. Our name comes from the Greek word “kinetikos” which is all about MOTION!
We are a team of practitioners and trainers who believe the human body was made to move. Whether your goal is to live your daily life and play with your kids energetically and without experiencing low back pain, or if you have your sights set on elite level athletic performance, or, for anything in between, we can help you!
We offer a wide range of services and classes including A.R.T./manual therapy, massage, acupuncture, personal training, corrective exercise, ELDOA (for spinal health and back pain), laser therapy, biomechanics running analysis and running coaching, and more!
Jonathan is the founding owner and lead practitioner at Kinetik. He is a certified Active Release Technique Provider and uses his extensive background in movement, biomechanics, and strength and conditioning to help athletes and individuals with rehabilitating all types of injuries or with attaining performance gains.
Colin arrived at Kinetik in the spring of 2021, fresh from a position with the LA Lakers and with prior experience at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Colin is an outstanding practitioner with experience working with the highest level athletes in various sports and disciplines. He has a wide array of manual therapy and training credentials and an excellent skillset to draw upon in order to meet each client’s needs.
TJ has a BA from Brown University and a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from PCOM in San Diego. Discovering acupuncture years ago as a patient helped TJ avoid back surgery, and spurred his passion to go into practice himself. TJ brings with him energy, creativity, and a desire to connect deeply with each patient, making each treatment an expression of the individual in front of him.
Stephanie is a gifted massage therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Stephanie has previously worked with athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista as well as in many other settings over the past ten years. Stephanie has a wide skillset with many techniques and her certifications include massage, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Cupping and IASTM, Rock Tape, and more!
Miguel Silva is a BOC certified athletic trainer who has experience in a variety of settings, including the collegiate clinical context, the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, and as a working professional. In these environments Miguel has encountered clients from various demographics, ranging from professional and collegiate athletes to recreational clientele. Miguel is an avid learner and has a lot of passion for helping each client receive high quality care.
Paolo is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) who has experience working with a wide variety of populations in different fitness domains including weight loss, strength and conditioning, wellness coaching, endurance training, injury prevention, postural restoration, biomechanics, and rehabilitation. Paolo’s current emphasis is in sports performance work with competitive athletes from youth to the professional level.
David is a certified personal trainer with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. He has experience in multiple settings, working both with injury rehabilitation and corrective exercise, and with athletes and other healthy populations to improve overall performance, biomechanics, and posture.
Marianna is a certified personal trainer, has completed massage therapy school, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Athletic Training. Marianna offers private and small group sessions both in general training and with emphasis in Posture and Spinal Health, and also teaches in our Sports Performance program.
Adam Larson holds a Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer Certificate from Miramar College. As a lifelong athlete himself and an active Powerlifting competitor, Adam knows firsthand the importance of proper mechanics and instruction. He brings exceptional attention to detail and a passion for strength, power, and speed training to every client.
Ian is a California native who graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2009 and has been certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture since 2011. Ian has worked closely with elite and everyday athletes to improve their rehabilitation and performance.
Heidi Barker holds a degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Her extensive background of experiences and specialties, from orthopedic and sports medicine to visualization therapy make her an invaluable asset to Kinetik clients at all levels of athletic pursuit.
Corey King is focused on optimizing and improving the health of all his patients. He specializes in joint pain, ozone therapy, and IV therapy. PRP joint injections can help regenerate tendons and ligaments so you will be out of pain and back to training quickly!

Josh Jagoda is an excellent chiropractor who also has ART/manual therapy certification and experience. Josh has more than ten years of experience and a variety of certifications and experience upon which to draw. He has worked with many demographics, ranging from professional athletes to corporate wellness to the general population. A session with Josh will leave you feeling great!
